Why am I receiving this bill?

This bill is for the medical care you received from an Emergency Medicine clinician during your Emergency Department visit or stay. The clinician practice is not a part of the hospital. Since the hospital and physicians are paid separately, you might receive more than one bill.

The Emergency Medicine clinician is responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, referral and/or discharge of patients receiving care in the Emergency Department at the Hospital that you visited. If you receive an additional bill from the Hospital, that bill will be for the use of the Hospital's supplies, equipment and clinical/technical personnel, - and it will not include the Emergency Clinician's fee.

How can I contact the office of the Emergency Medicine Clinician who treated me?

Our office is available Monday through Friday from to at (800) 528-0006. We have patient account representatives ready to help. You can also write to us and mail your letter to the address located on the invoice that you received or send an email to billing@moyerbrown.com. Additionally you can use one of the forms on our site to send a message to our staff:

Since the Emergency Medicine clinicians do not have regular office hours, you can send any correspondence to our billing office and our staff will be happy to forward your concerns to the clinicians involved in your care.

Have you received a payment directly from you Insurance Carrier?

We have found it can take up to two weeks for insurance companies to issue and mail insurance payments after they have sent the patient an explanation of benefits. We will gladly put a 30 day hold on your account once you contact us that payment has been sent. You can contact us by email at billing@moyerbrown.com , by phone at (800) 528-0006 or use standard mail to mail us at the address on your invoice. After 30 days your billing cycle will resume if no payment has been received.

Why did I get a bill if I have insurance?

The insurance company will apply the benefits of your plan and then determine your responsibility. We worked directly with your insurance company prior to sending a bill. This bill reflects the portion of the cost that is your responsibility to pay directly to the physician practice that provided your care. If you believe your insurance company made an error, please contact them directly.

It is possible that we were not provided accurate Insurance information at the time of your visit. If additional Insurance information is needed, please contact us.

I have Charity Care. Why am I receiving this bill?

Charity Care applies to the hospital charges only. Physician services are not reimbursed under Charity Care. We can submit to your health insurance or Medicaid Provider. If you are not covered by insurance we would be happy to set you up on an interest free payment plan. Please contact our office for information on a payment plan schedule. You can email us at billing@moyerbrown.com or call us at (800) 528-0006. You may also use the question form by clicking For Patients and submitting the form.

How can I submit a claim to my insurance company?

Your invoice contains all the information your insurance company needs to process your claim and can be submitted directly to your insurance carrier. If you would like us to submit the health insurance claim on your behalf, you can either fill out the back of your invoice and send us the form with a copy of the front and back of your insurance card.

My visit is related to an automobile accident. How can I submit a claim?

In order to submit a claim to your automobile insurance carrier we need the full name and address of your automobile insurance carrier. We also need a claim number from the auto carrier. Please contact your auto carrier to initiate a claim prior to submitting a medical claim. Your automobile insurance carrier will reject your medical bills without a claim number. You can then contact us by phone at (800) 528-0006, by fax at (732) 349-6030 or by email at billing@moyerbrown.com. Be sure to include your automobile insurance claim number. Once your auto insurance carrier has processed the claim it then can be submitted to your health insurance carrier for processing.

What if I was injured at work?

Please provide our office with the complete name and address of your employer or Human Resources Department along with the name and phone number of a contact person. You can contact our office by phone at (800) 528-0006, by fax at (732) 349-6030 or by email at billing@moyerbrown.com.

Is this a duplicate bill from my hospital?

This is not a duplicate bill. Charges for physicians who care for you during a visit or admission to the hospital may be separate from those of the hospital where you received care. You may receive separate bills for the same visit or admission.

Why is there a charge from a provider I do not know?

During your visit to the Emergency Department specified on your bill, you received care from a medical clinician that is a member of an Emergency Medicine practice. You may not have interacted with the physicians who provided input into your case.

My insurance information is missing.

Please contact us so that we can update your account. We will work directly with your insurance company to submit your claim.
